जानिये कहाँ a/an तथा the का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता (Omission of Articles)

(common errors in the use of articles)

भाषाओं (languages)के नाम के पहले  article नहीं लगता है 

जैसे-  She can’t speak Tamil. ना कि She can’t speak Tamil.

विषयों(subjects)  के नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता है 

जैसे- I have no interest in physics. ना कि I have no interest in the Physics.

पर्वो(festivals)  और ऋतुओंके नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता

जैसे- I celebrated Diwali with my family.

लेकिन I went to Delhi in the Christmas holiday.

दिन तथा महीनों के नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता है

जैसे- He will come on Sunday. ना कि He will come on Sunday.

बीमारियों के नामs से पहले article नहीं लगता है

जैसे- He is suffering from small-pox. ना कि He is suffering from small-pox.

लेकिन कुछ बीमारियों के पहले The का प्रयोग होता है

जैसे : The plague, The measles, The mumps, The gout

खेल -कूद (sports)के नामों से पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है

जैसे- I play badminton. ना कि I play the badminton.

भोजन सामिग्री तथा भोजन के नामों से पहले article नहीं लगता है

जैसे- I like bread and butter. ना कि I like the bread and butter.

व्यक्ति, गाँव, शहर, जिला, राज्य, देश, महादेश के खास नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता है

जैसे-Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. ना कि Jaipur is the capital of the Rajasthan.

Man, Woman, life, Death, Art, Science का प्रयोग यदि व्यापक अर्थ में हो तो इनके पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है

जैसे- Man is Mortal., ना कि The man is Mortal.

School, Church, College, Hospital, Prison, Court, Bed का प्रयोग मौलिक उद्देश्य के लिए हो तो इनके पहले article नहीं लगता है 

जैसे-The injured boy was sent to the hospital. ना कि The injured boy was sent to the hospital.
